Metro Global Ventures is a boutique investment firm dedicated to nurturing the growth of businesses in our diverse portfolio across various industries.

We are seeking a Controller to oversee and lead finance and accounting functions. This role offers a unique opportunity to establish processes, build a small team, and work closely with senior leadership in shaping financial infrastructure.

This is a hands-on leadership position in a growing organization where the Controller will oversee all accounting operations, ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, and provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including AR, AP, payroll, and the monthly close.
• Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions and preparation of GAAP financial statements.
• Produce monthly financial reports and analysis for senior management.
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
• Manage cash flow and working capital.
• Establish and maintain strong financial controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
• Provide financial modeling and analysis to support strategic growth.
• Participate in M\&A diligence and integration activities as the company grows.
• Coordinate financial matters with international subsidiaries.
• Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
• Build and manage a small finance and accounting team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7–10\+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience hiring, managing, and developing accounting or finance teams.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• Able to commute to our office in Bala Cynwyd, PA.
• CPA or public accounting experience preferred.
