Job Description

Are you a skilled 1st fix joiner available for a month:long commercial project in Leeds? We are looking for an experienced tradesperson to join a major city:centre refurbishment. The primary focus of this contract is the construction of temporary access steps and ramps to facilitate site movement and public access.

The Role

This is a fast:paced commercial environment where you will be responsible for:

  • Temporary Works: Constructing sturdy, compliant temporary timber steps and ramps.
  • 1st Fix Installation: Assisting with initial site hoarding and structural timber framing where required.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensuring all ramps meet required gradients and safety standards for site:wide use.
  • Efficiency: Working from drawings to ensure all temporary structures are fit for purpose and built to last the duration of the project.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Valid CSCS Card: (Blue Skilled Worker or Gold Supervisor preferred).
  • Tools: Full 1st fix kit, including cordless drills, circular saws, and levels.
  • Experience: Proven experience in commercial 1st fix joinery and temporary works.
  • Reliability: A consistent track record of punctuality and a get:it:right:first:time attitude.
  • PPE: Full site PPE (Hard hat, high:vis, steel:toed boots).
