NVIDIA has been transforming computer graphics, PC gaming, and accelerated computing for more than 25 years. It’s a unique legacy of innovation that’s fueled by great technology—and amazing people. Today, we’re tapping into the unlimited potential of AI to define the next era of computing. An era in which our GPU acts as the brains of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can understand the world. Doing what’s never been done before takes vision, innovation, and the world’s best talent. As an NVIDIAN, you’ll be immersed in a diverse, supportive environment where everyone is inspired to do their best work. Come join the team and see how you can make a lasting impact on the world.
NVIDIA invites applications for a Network Field Application Engineer position within our OEM Field Applications Engineering (FAE) team. This team acts as the vital technical link connecting OEM Engineering with NVIDIA’s product units. In this role, you will handle full-cycle validation, platform setup, and in-depth troubleshooting of NVIDIA networking technologies—including NICs, DPUs, switches, cables, and DOCA software—customized for OEM server platforms. This role requires a specialist who can bridge the gap between hardware build and system-level validation. The goal is to ensure our next-generation networking technologies meet the detailed standards of enterprise datacenter and edge deployments.
What You’ll Be Doing:* Drive the development and execution of functional, regression, and stress testing for networking and GPU technologies within OEM server environments.
- Lead hands-on debugging, firmware validation, and isolation of complex system-level issues for new server generations and fast-release programs.
- Integrate various hardware and software components into an overall architecture to automate end-to-end testing scenarios for efficient packaging and deployment.
- Act as a technical lead in weekly issue scrubs to resolve manufacturing blockers, hardware diagnostics failures, and customer partner concerns.
- Provide onsite technical support to resolve hardware/software problems and maintain lab systems to ensure platform readiness.
What We Need to See:* BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 2\+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Deep knowledge of high-speed protocols, switch configuration, and hardware interfaces including PCIe, RDMA/RoCE, I2C, SPI, UART, and I2S.
- Practical experience with OEM Server Hardware and familiarity with OEM-specific release processes and software packaging.
- Proven ability to perform deep-level firmware validation and independent problem-solving for complex, system-level issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work across NVIDIA and OEM engineering teams and provide technical training to partners.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:* Proficient in InfiniBand, GPU, ARM development, and Linux systems with strong Python programming skills.
- Knowledgeable in communication libraries like DOCA, CUDA, and hardware build including PCIe, Ethernet, and various communication protocols.
- Experienced in working with OEMs in Data Center, HPC, or Edge computing environments.
- Familiar with NVIDIA drivers, and LinkX cables.
- Holds an advanced degree or has gained equivalent experience within the industry with familiarity with machine learning workloads.
