Job Description
Art Director
About the Role
Ladivine Collective is looking for a talented, hands-on Art Director to lead the creative vision across our portfolio of eveningwear and special occasion brands.
Based in Commerce, Los Angeles, Ladivine Collective is home to multiple fashion brands, each with its own distinct identity. We’re looking for someone with a strong visual eye who can understand and evolve these different brand worlds while maintaining a consistently elevated standard across everything we create.
This is a highly creative and hands-on role for someone who enjoys both big-picture thinking and getting into the details. You’ll lead and mentor a team of graphic designers while remaining actively involved in the work—from developing campaign concepts and directing photoshoots to reviewing retouching, catalogs, e-commerce imagery, social content, and digital assets.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about fashion and visual storytelling, has excellent taste and attention to detail, and feels comfortable balancing multiple projects and priorities in a creative environment.
Please include a portfolio link with your application that showcases your aesthetic, creative direction, and hands-on execution.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and evolve the creative direction across multiple fashion brands within Ladivine Collective, ensuring each maintains its own distinct and compelling visual identity.
- Manage, mentor, and provide creative direction to a team of graphic designers, helping elevate both individual performance and the overall quality of the team’s work.
- Stay hands-on throughout the creative process, contributing directly to concept development, graphic design, layouts, visual problem-solving, and execution when needed.
- Develop creative concepts and visual narratives for seasonal campaigns, product launches, catalogs, e-commerce, social media, and other brand initiatives.
- Lead fashion photoshoots from concept through final delivery, including developing mood boards, selecting and booking models and locations, establishing hair and makeup direction, and providing on-set art direction.
- Collaborate with photographers, models and agencies, hair and makeup artists, videographers, and other external creative partners.
- Oversee and review photography, retouching, graphic design, catalogs, e-commerce imagery, digital marketing materials, video, and other creative assets.
- Provide clear, thoughtful, and detailed creative feedback to ensure all work meets a high visual standard and aligns with the appropriate brand identity.
- Review social media content and creative calendars to ensure consistency across platforms.
- Manage multiple projects, campaigns, and photoshoots simultaneously, balancing creative ambition with deadlines and business priorities.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, design, sales, and other internal teams to bring creative ideas to life.
- Maintain and evolve brand guidelines and visual standards across all customer touchpoints.
- Stay connected to fashion, culture, photography, design, retail, social media, and emerging digital trends, bringing fresh and relevant ideas to the team.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen and evolve the brands’ visual presence while staying connected to customer interests and current retail trends.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Art Direction, or a related field.
- 3\+ years of experience in a creative leadership role within fashion, beauty, lifestyle, or another visually driven industry.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual taste, graphic design skills, fashion imagery, campaign development, and creative direction.
- Proven experience managing, mentoring, and providing creative feedback to a design or creative team.
- Strong hands-on graphic design skills with advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Experience preparing layouts, graphics, digital assets, and print/catalog materials using Adobe design tools.
- Experience developing and executing creative concepts from initial idea through final delivery.
- A strong understanding of photography, retouching, composition, typography, layout, and visual storytelling.
- Experience producing and art directing fashion photoshoots.
- The ability to shift between different brand identities and audiences while maintaining a consistently high creative standard.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- An understanding of digital marketing, e-commerce, social media, and storytelling across online channels.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- A proactive, resourceful mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on creative environment.
