Job Description
- Provide mentorship and guidance to Mechanical engineers and designers.
- Develop and manage project work plans.
- Responsible for the systems selections, basis of design and quality of the work product.
- Attend project meetings and communicate effectively with project team members.
- Represent the Mechanical discipline at client meetings and effectively communicate with clients as needed.
- Coordination of the mechanical/plumbing design with other project disciplines and the Project Manager.
- Construction phase support including submittal review and RFI response.
- Maintain and develop mechanical/plumbing standards in collaboration with senior engineering staff.
- Assist the Mechanical Director with mechanical/plumbing work product quality control.
- Act as a senior mechanical engineering and design resource, providing assistance and guidance to project engineers and designers in both HVAC and plumbing design.
- Confer openly and directly in a respectful and professional manner with other personnel to clarify or resolve problems and develop design.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of focused mechanical/plumbing design experience.
- Mechanical Engineering Professional license.
- Proficient in Revit and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Trane Trace load calculation software.
- Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and the general public.
