ABOUT JMW CONSULTING
JMW Consulting LLC is a growing international management consulting firm with operations across the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and New Zealand. We deliver high-impact consulting services to clients worldwide and are building the people infrastructure to support our continued global growth.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a rare chance to be the founding HR voice inside a fast-scaling international consulting firm. Working in close partnership with our HR strategist, you'll shape how JMW operationalizes people practices across all of its locations. This position reports to the Strategic HR Partner with a dotted line to the CFAO.
Role Summary
The HR Generalist serves as the operational backbone of JMW's people function — managing day-to-day HR activities across a global workforce while partnering closely with our external HR strategist to execute on a broader people strategy. From benefits and recruiting to compliance and employee engagement, this role touches every aspect of the employee lifecycle. It's a high-visibility, high-impact position for someone who is equally comfortable building processes from scratch and maintaining them with precision.
What You'll Do
Benefits Administration
- Manage employee benefits enrollment, FSA/HSA plans, and open enrollment communications
- Coordinate with our benefits broker and maintain a centralized benefits resource library
Talent Acquisition
- Oversee recruiting workflows in Paylocity ATS and coordinate interview logistics
- Support international hiring strategies and prepare offer letters and reference checks
Onboarding \& Offboarding
- Execute onboarding and orientation for new hires across all global locations
- Manage employment eligibility, background checks, and full offboarding including COBRA
HRIS \& Leave Management
- Serve as Paylocity system administrator, maintaining data integrity and generating HR reports
- Administer the global leave management framework and ensure multi-country compliance
Performance Management \& Compliance
- Coordinate performance review cycles and support managers with tools and documentation
- Maintain employment files and contracts in compliance with US, UK, Canadian, and NZ regulations
Employee Engagement \& Communications
- Drive companywide HR communications and employee engagement programs that foster connection, reinforce culture, and keep our global workforce aligned and informed
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a collaborative team player who is intuitive and proactive, anticipating needs and solving problems before they escalate. We need someone who thrives in a matrixed environment, partnering seamlessly with external resources and internal leaders alike. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and compliance-minded, yet solutions-focused and pragmatic. We're looking for someone who handles confidential information with discretion, communicates clearly across time zones and cultures, and brings genuine curiosity to learning new systems and processes. Most importantly, we need someone who is energized by variety and the opportunity to build something meaningful within an established strategic framework.
Ready to build something meaningful? We'd love to hear from you.
