Role Description
The District Sales Manager (On-Premise/Independent Off-Premise) is a full-time, outside management position based out of the Greater Orlando area. The role involves managing a team of sales representatives, developing strategic plans to drive sales growth, and maintaining strong relationships with both on-premise and independent off-premise accounts. The District Sales Manager will oversee account performance, ensure the execution of brand strategies, track industry trends, and identify new business opportunities. Regular collaboration with internal teams and frequent visits to accounts are integral to this role.
Qualifications
- Sales and Account Management: Proven experience in sales, managing accounts, and achieving revenue targets; familiarity with on-premise and off-premise sales environments is highly desirable.
- Leadership and Team Development: Ability to mentor, coach, and lead sales teams; proficiency in performance management and team motivation.
- Communication and Relationship Building: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills to maintain and establish partnerships with accounts.
- Market Knowledge: Understanding of the craft beverage industry, including market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscapes.
- Organizational and Strategic Planning: Strong skills in time management, route planning, and implementing effective sales strategies.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and sales CRM tools; ability to analyze sales data and generate actionable insights.
- General Qualifications: Valid driver's license required; prior experience in alcohol distribution is preferred. A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise and direct sales representatives to maximize product sales and distribution. This includes overseeing recruitment, selection, training, and organizing territory assignments.
- Performance Management: Conduct employee evaluations, provide feedback, and maintain team morale through ongoing motivation and monthly meetings.
- Strategy \& Execution: Implement company marketing strategies, prepare monthly sales objectives, and develop actionable plans for business activities.
- Account \& Relationship Management: Identify sales opportunities in key accounts and assist in managing supplier relationships.
- Operations \& Compliance: Schedule personnel for promotional events, ensure the team follows all company policies, and stay informed on industry trends to respond to new developments.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Proven sales and management experience a plus
Basic understanding of Cavalier Distributing products
Cicerone Certified Beer Server required; Certified Cicerone a plus
2-4 years related work experience
Familiarity with the bar/restaurant industry and the liquor retail industry
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Excellent organizational skills
Valid unexpired driver's license with clean MVR
Reliable transportation
Highly organized, self-directed, motivated, strong project management skills
Excellent computer skills, highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, knowledge of Encompass a plus.
Ability to positively represent the organization to the public and customers and promote the goodwill of the company.
