Primary (Must-Have):
- Ability to accurately interpret blueprints
- Ability to accurately interpret work in-process documents
- Knowledge of welding procedures and welding processes
- Experience with manual TIG, CNC TIG, or EB welding operations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Self-motivated with strong ownership and accountability
- Lean manufacturing mindset with focus on process improvements
- Team building and collaboration skills
- Must be fluent in English including speaking, reading, and writing
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Certified to WD-001
- Ability to pass a reading test
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English
Secondary (Good to Have):
- Experience performing preventative maintenance on welding equipment
- Knowledge of ISO quality standards and manufacturing compliance requirements
- Experience maintaining production and quality standards
- Experience with inspection tools and documentation processes
Position Overview
The Welder will perform welding operations using manual TIG, CNC TIG, and EB welding equipment within a manufacturing environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, blueprint interpretation skills, and adherence to production and quality standards. The ideal candidate will support manufacturing operations by completing welding assignments, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with company safety and quality requirements.
Roles \& Responsibilities
- Prepare weld joints according to instructions provided in travelers and production documents
- Perform welding operations using manual TIG, CNC TIG welder, or EB welder equipment
- Complete welding operations on various manufacturing components
- Perform belt sanding and preparation of parts prior to welding operations
- Inspect tools and equipment to ensure operational readiness and quality standards
- Document travelers and production records after completion of operations
- Maintain department housekeeping and organized work areas
- Ensure production standards and quality requirements are consistently met
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality in accordance with company expectations
- Adhere to and promote Corporate Code of Ethical Standards
- Ensure compliance with Company IPM/QPM and ISO quality requirements
- Perform preventative maintenance on welding equipment as required
- Support additional facility and production tasks as assigned
