Corporate Controller

Beech Valley is seeking a seasoned Controller to lead the controllership function for a high-growth, public retail organization. This executive role partners closely with the CFO and senior leadership to drive financial reporting excellence, strengthen internal controls, and support strategic growth initiatives. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in retail accounting, SEC reporting, and ERP systems in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

• Lead all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, and controllership operations
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, SOX, and tax regulations
• Oversee monthly/quarterly close, internal controls, and external audit processes
• Strengthen and optimize financial reporting processes and corporate compliance frameworks
• Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, delivering actionable financial insights
• Partner cross-functionally with FP\&A, operations, and business leaders to align performance with forecasts
• Manage consolidations, multi-entity structures, and M\&A accounting, including integrations
• Lead and develop a high-performing accounting organization across key functions
• Own and enhance ERP and financial systems to support scalability and accuracy
• Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives across accounting processes
• Maintain expertise in inventory and lease accounting in a retail environment
• Influence stakeholders and build strong cross-functional relationships

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required); CPA (required)
• Foundation in public accounting
• 7\+ years in a senior accounting or controllership role, preferably within a public company
• Proven leadership of corporate accounting, financial reporting, AP, tax, and technical accounting teams
• Deep expertise in public company filings
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle strongly preferred)
