We are hiring a
Quality Laboratory Technician
on
Day Shift (Monday to Friday / 06\.30am to 2\.30pm)
to join our Smith's Snackfood team in Tingalpa. You will ensure testing equipment is maintained, calibrated and ready for use. Maintain accurate quality measurements and monitor team testing techniques, providing retraining when needed.
Responsibilities
- Maintain lab systems and ensure compliance.
- Uphold quality, food safety, and GMP standards.
- Perform testing, calibration, and chemical handling.
- Train and support team on QA processes.
- Analyse data, reports, audits, and investigations.
- Improve quality through troubleshooting, projects, and safety/environment practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ laboratory experience in a similar manufacturing environment (essential)
- Qualifications in Science (Chemistry), Food Science, or a related discipline (preferred)
- Strong technical skills in instrumentation and/or chemistry
- Good mechanical reasoning ability
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong self-management, initiative, and ability to plan, prioritise, and achieve targets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
