Job Description
We’re looking for a hands-on Director of People to lead and elevate our people operations as we continue to grow. This role is a true HR generalist leader—owning the full employee lifecycle while serving as a trusted partner to leadership and managers across the business.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee employee experience, recruiting strategy, and HR operations
- Act as a trusted HR partner on performance management, onboarding, employee relations, and coaching
- Lead and mentor the HR team, including a People Manager and HR Generalist
- Build, streamline, and improve HR processes and best practices
- Support and coach managers across the organization
- Handle conflict resolution, performance improvement plans, terminations, and exit interviews
- Manage annual review cycles, including self-reviews, upward/downward feedback, ratings, and merit increases
- Drive recruiting process improvements and manager recruiting training
- Own and enhance performance management tools (currently Lattice)
- Partner on HRIS administration and lead the implementation of a new HRIS (UltiPro experience preferred)
- Support a collaborative, non-corporate culture with \~430 employees across multiple states, including remote teams
What We’re Looking For
- 7\+ years of progressive, diverse HR generalist experience
- Prior experience supervising HR staff
- Strong working knowledge of core HR principles with a hands-on approach
- Proven experience supporting managers and leadership through people challenges
- Experience working in multi-state and remote environments
- Comfort owning systems, processes, and change management (HRIS implementation experience is a strong plus)
- Tech-comfortable with M365 and HR systems
