Secondary ICT Teacher

Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate and skilled

Secondary ICT Teacher

to teach students of Grades 8–10\. The candidate should have strong knowledge of Information and Communication Technology and the ability to make technology-based learning practical, engaging, and age-appropriate.

The teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering ICT lessons, developing students' digital skills, conducting practical activities, and supporting them in applying technology to real-world situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging ICT lessons for Grades 8–10 in line with the school's curriculum and CBSE requirements.
• Teach concepts related to Information Technology, digital literacy, computer applications, and emerging technologies.
• Conduct hands-on practical sessions and ensure effective utilisation of computer labs.
• Develop students' proficiency in areas such as:

+ Digital documentation and presentations

+ Spreadsheets and data handling

+ Internet and digital communication

+ Basic programming/coding concepts

+ Computer hardware and software

+ Cyber safety and responsible use of technology

+ Digital citizenship and online ethics

+ Emerging technologies such as AI and related applications

• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, presentations, practical activities, projects, and assessments.
• Assess students through classwork, practical assignments, projects, tests, and examinations.
• Track student progress and provide timely feedback and academic support.
• Encourage students to use technology creatively for problem-solving, research, presentations, and projects.
• Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Integrate technology into interdisciplinary and project-based learning wherever appropriate.
• Stay updated with developments in ICT, educational technology, AI, and digital learning tools.
• Participate in school events, academic activities, workshops, training programmes, and other responsibilities assigned by the school.

• Strong subject knowledge in ICT / Information Technology / Computer Science.
• Good practical knowledge of computer applications and digital tools.
• Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple and student-friendly manner.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to design engaging, activity-based and practical learning experiences.
• Comfortable using educational technology and digital teaching tools.
• Good planning, documentation, and assessment skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and academic teams.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, ICT, or a related field.
• B.Ed. or relevant teaching qualification preferred.
• Candidates with relevant experience teaching ICT/Computer Science at the secondary school level will be preferred.

Experience

• 2–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school or similar school environment preferred.
• Experience teaching students in Grades 8–10 will be an advantage.
• Freshers with strong subject knowledge and relevant teaching qualifications may also be considered.

Location: Kanakia International School - CBSE, Bhayandar

Timings: 6\.45am to 2\.15pm
