Job Description

As a Facilities Operations Technician, you help keep mission‑critical data center infrastructure running safely, reliably, and efficiently. You work across electrical, mechanical/HVAC, cooling, and controls systems to support 24/7 uptime. Depending on your level, you may focus on hands‑on learning and operations (IC2–IC3) or take on more advanced troubleshooting, leadership, and technical decision‑making (IC4–IC5). In this role, you operate and maintain critical facility systems, respond to equipment issues, and perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis to restore systems quickly and safely. You support upgrades, retrofits, and commissioning activities to ensure new or modified systems meet operational standards. You follow established procedures and technical documentation and help improve drawings, one‑lines, logs, and test plans to ensure consistent execution across sites. You work closely with operations, engineering, construction partners, vendors, and utilities to ensure safe and reliable outcomes. You communicate technical risks and findings clearly and contribute to improving standards, maintenance practices, and overall system performance. Senior technicians lead complex troubleshooting events, guide system improvements, and mentor junior team members.
