He/She will possess advanced analytical experience and basic knowledge of workforce management metrics. The individual must be capable to support and proactively own tactical and strategic data analysis driven projects to address customer facing challenges and enable program management and decision making initiatives across SEPO. In this role you will experience a wide range of challenges and we expect you to approach the problems with swift data driven solutions.

Key job responsibilities

Work with large data sets to identify relationships, trends, patterns.

Write SQL queries, create ETL, create dashboards with relevant business metrics.

Work closely with Business and Product teams to understand their roadmap and impact on downstream data.

Create accurate forecasts for partner teams (WFM and Operations) to enable them to build the right capacity.

Analyze variances between forecast and actuals to course correct and prevent further variance.

Identify downstream impact on Operations metrics and work backwards from there.

Mine for opportunities and pain points, identify relevant solution, and execute to drive impact.

Interact with partner teams, obtain required information, share relevant details, and drive discussions using data and Amazon’s customer-centric culture.

Provide regular and proactive updates with clear communication to partner teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3\+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • Experience in Excel (macros, index, conditional list, arrays, pivots, lookups)
  • Experience creating complex SQL queries joining multiple datasets, ETL DW concepts
  • Experience with reporting and Data Visualization tools such as Quick Sight / Tableau / Power BI or other BI packages
  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience scripting for automation (e.g., Python, Perl, Ruby)
  • Experience working with multiple groups of stakeholders
