EHR Implementation Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking an EHR Implementation Engineer to help deploy and integrate a healthcare SaaS platform within provider and hospital environments.
In this role, you will work closely with healthcare customers, internal product and engineering teams, and hospital IT stakeholders to implement and support integrations with EHR systems such as Epic.
This position is ideal for someone who combines strong technical troubleshooting skills with healthcare interoperability knowledge and customer-facing implementation experience.
You will play a key role in onboarding new customers, configuring integrations, validating healthcare data workflows, and supporting successful go-lives across hospital and health system environments.
What You’ll Do
- Lead technical implementations for healthcare provider customers
- Configure and support integrations between the platform and EHR/EMR systems
- Work closely with hospital IT teams, operational stakeholders, and healthcare customers during onboarding and deployment
- Support HL7 and/or FHIR integrations and API-based workflows
- Troubleshoot interoperability and healthcare data integration issues
- Validate and monitor healthcare data flows and integration performance
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams
- Assist with implementation testing, go-live support, and post-launch optimization
- Document technical configurations, workflows, and implementation processes
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 5\+ years of experience in technical implementation, systems integration, or healthcare SaaS environments
- Experience working with EHR/EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner
- Experience supporting healthcare software integrations within hospitals, provider organizations, or health systems
- Experience with Epic integrations or Epic App Orchard
- Experience with healthcare interoperability standards including HL7 and/or FHIR
- Experience working with APIs, REST APIs, JSON/XML, and healthcare data integration workflows
- Working knowledge of SQL and data validation processes
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience working directly with customers during onboarding, implementation, or go-live projects
- Experience working within hospitals or healthcare provider organizations
- Familiarity with interface engines such as Mirth Connect, Cloverleaf, or Rhapsody
- Experience with healthcare interoperability, provider integrations, or clinical systems
- Exposure to healthcare IT environments and patient data workflows
- Scripting experience (Python or similar)
