Job Description

We are seeking a Mid-Level Backend Developer with NestJS expertise to support a fast-growing technology platform serving the sports and entertainment space. This is a full-time role focused on building scalable, maintainable backend services and APIs while collaborating closely with front-end engineers and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a Node.js ecosystem using modern frameworks like NestJS and TypeScript. U.S. work authorization is required. No visa sponsorship is available at this time.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using NestJS and TypeScript
  • Collaborate with front-end engineers, product managers, and designers to ensure backend solutions meet scalability, performance, and reliability requirements
  • Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and architectural planning to drive technical excellence
  • Support and improve the overall development lifecycle and team productivity
  • Share knowledge and best practices with peers to contribute to continuous improvement

Required Skills \& Experience

  • 5\+ years of professional experience in backend or full-stack web development
  • Strong proficiency with Node.js and TypeScript, with hands-on experience in NestJS
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and integrating with front-end applications
  • Familiarity with databases (SQL or NoSQL) and basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
  • Experience with modern development workflows including Git and CI/CD pipelines
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $130,000 -$160,000 base salary \+ Full Comprehensive Benefits

Additional Information

  • Role is remote hybrid, based in nyc 3x per week
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States — no visa sponsorship available
