The Role

We are hiring a Backend Architecture Engineer to design the next generation of the Centh operating system. You will own architecture across our data layer, orchestration layer, and integration layer, with a heavy emphasis on security and data integrity. This is a foundational hire. Your work defines how the system scales.

What You Will Do

Design and evolve the core architecture of Centh across credentialing, requirements, candidate, and placement domains. Build secure, performant data models that handle sensitive provider information at scale, with NCQA grade rigor as the floor, not the ceiling. Lead the design of our orchestration engine, including concurrent agent sessions, multi step flows, and high throughput integrations across the ATS landscape. Push the limits of multithreading, async processing, and parallel API execution so our agents run fast and reliably. Bring in new tools, patterns, and ideas that make our backend faster, safer, and more elegant. Set the technical bar for the team.

What We Are Looking For

2\+ years of Experience in backend systems with strong opinions on data architecture and security. Comfort owning end to end design, from schema to deployment, in a fast moving environment. A track record of shipping production systems that handle PII \+ PHI, or real regulated workflows. Curiosity as a default mode. You read papers. You try new tools. You probably have something running on your laptop right now that you built last weekend.

Our Stack

GCP, Supabase, TypeScript, Node, Python, and a range of AI SDKs across model providers and agent frameworks. We expect you to come in with strong views on what should be kept, replaced, or added.

Role Requirements

Full time only, based in New York. You must be authorized to work in the United States. We are not sponsoring visas at this time.
