The Role

They are seeking a seasoned Backend Software Engineer to contribute to the development of their core platform. This individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners across research, product, and design to architect and scale foundational backend systems.

The Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement scalable backend services that power large-scale video generation and delivery
• Collaborate with researchers and product teams to design and launch new features and developer-facing APIs
• Develop and maintain infrastructure supporting machine learning models, automated workflows, and reinforcement learning processes
• Optimize distributed systems for reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency
• Implement robust monitoring, automated testing, and performance benchmarking to ensure system integrity
• Contribute to evolving backend best practices, deployment processes, and system architecture

The Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of professional software engineering experience with strong proficiency in Python
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, including AWS services such as object storage, serverless computing, relational databases, queueing systems, and container orchestration
• Experience building APIs using modern backend frameworks and working with containerization and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, large-scale data processing, asynchronous architectures, and modern AI model integration
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges and operate effectively in fast-moving environments
• Excellent communication skills and comfort collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

Nice to Have:

• Experience working within early-stage or high-growth startup environments
• Exposure to video processing technologies, including generation, encoding, and streaming
• Background in generative AI systems or consumer-focused software products

Compensation \& Benefits:

• Base salary range of $175,000–$250,000 USD
