Mechanical Engineer

LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring an experienced Mechanical Engineer for our client in Naperville, IL. This direct hire opportunity is fully onsite.

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for developing products, validating designs through prototyping and testing, assisting with root cause analysis, and ensuring product quality. We are looking for a creative and collaborative applicant with 5\+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience.

Responsibilities:

• Develop products using 2D and 3D drawings
• Validate designs through prototyping and testing
• Assist with root cause analysis
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure product quality
• Provide product documentation
• Update work instructions and assist in new product introductions
• Keep up to date with new design theories and technologies
• Support engineering change process
• Assist with hands-on production as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5\+ years of experience required
• ERP/MRP information systems experience required
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with CAD, including 2D and 3D drawing skills
• Understanding of powder coating, stamping, casting, extrusion, injection molding, overmolding, and packaging

Salary: $90,000 - $95,000
