About The Role
We are seeking a full-time Clinical Research Coordinator based in Cambridge,
Massachusetts to support Alden Scientific’s clinical research and sample collection
efforts.
This role is critical to the quality of our data, the success of our studies, and the
Experience Of The Individuals Who Participate In Our Research.
The position blends hands-on clinical specimen collection with research and
operational support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, and
comfortable working both independently and as part of a fast-moving research
team. This role requires flexibility, reliability, and a strong commitment to protocol
adherence and patient care.
While this position is based in Cambridge, it includes travel for on-site collections.
May include some nights and weekends, as needed.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Sample Collection
- Perform venipuncture and other approved specimen collections in
accordance with study protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure proper specimen labeling, handling, processing, storage, and
transport.
- Follow all infection control, safety, and biohazard procedures at all times.
Research \& Study Support
- Support clinical research studies through accurate documentation and strict
protocol compliance.
- Assist with study logistics, including coordination of collection events and
research workflows.
- Report deviations, issues, or adverse events promptly and accurately.
Participant Experience
- Provide a calm, professional, and respectful experience for all study
participants.
- Clearly explain procedures and address participant questions with confidence
and empathy.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold HIPAA and data privacy standards.
Operational Excellence
- Adhere to Alden Scientific SOPs and research protocols with a high level of
precision.
- Maintain accurate records, chain-of-custody documentation, and study logs.
- Represent Alden Scientific professionally while traveling to and working at
external sites.

Required Qualifications
- Phlebotomy experience or willingness to be trained in phlebotomy.

- Strong understanding of clinical research or laboratory best practices.
- Ability to follow detailed protocols and maintain meticulous documentation.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in clinical research, clinical trials, or research sample
collection.
- Experience with mobile or travel-based phlebotomy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working flexible or occasional non-standard hours as needed.
