Responsibilities:

• Be part of a team providing AV services to various clients with an emphasis on quality and professionalism. We are looking for people with a positive attitude, attention to detail and a passion for providing extraordinary customer service.
• Provide daily project updates with hours worked and any job specific information that may affect the project’s original completion requirements. The position is also responsible for all project documentation including markup drawings for as-built documentation, commissioning report, and close-out documentation.
• Complete assignments in a timely manner while working with other Technicians to complete the specified task. The ideal candidate possesses the desire to learn procedures, increase technical knowledge and refine customer relation skills.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Help maintain and manage inventory.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2-5 years of verifiable experience as an Audio Video Technician preferred.
• Solid understanding of AV and IT installation, construction techniques or structured cabling.
• Proficient with hand/power tools, low voltage wiring, trim-out and installation of wall and ceiling mounts.
• Ability to run cable and terminate properly using solder, crimp and compression techniques.
• Capable of physically lifting, moving, and installing projection screens, displays, ceiling speakers, wired microphones and equipment racks.
• Comprehension of wiring schematics and architectural drawings.
• Familiarity with test equipment required for commissioning.
• Ability to work under pressure within specified deadlines.
• Excellent organizational skills required to provide daily field reports and updates.
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment including General Contractors and various construction trades.
• Familiarity with control systems and equipment manufacturers such as Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, Shure, etc.
• Avixa CTS, and related manufacturer product certifications a plus.
• Basic understanding of IT protocols, addressing and infrastructure is a plus.
• Willing and able to take classes and/or training for industry specific knowledge and certifications required by MCP.
• Experience in the corporate, educational, and governmental sectors a plus.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Possess or complete CTS certification within 6 months of employment.
• Reliable transportation, a clean driving record, a valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance.
• Flexibility to travel or work overtime, although rarely required, as necessary.
• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs. and more with assistance.
• Relevant work experience.
