Roles and Responsibilities

Test Strategy \& Planning

• Analyse requirements (BRD/PRD/user stories) and define test strategy, test plan, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria
• Estimate testing efforts and contribute to sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives
• Define and maintain traceability from requirements to test cases and defects

Test Design \& Execution

• Create, review, and execute test cases, test data, and test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and UAT
• Perform UI, API, and database validation; verify error handling, edge cases, and negative testing
• Log, triage, and track defects to closure; collaborate with developers for quick resolution

Test Automation (good to have)

• Design scalable, maintainable automation frameworks (UI/API/mobile)
• Build automated regression suites; integrate with CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
• Implement test reporting and quality gates to enforce release readiness

Non‑Functional \& Compliance

• Conduct performance testing (load/stress), security hygiene checks, accessibility, usability, and compatibility testing as relevant
• Ensure compliance with QA standards, coding/testing guidelines, and applicable regulatory and security requirements

Quality Governance \& Collaboration

• Own quality metrics (defect density, test coverage, DRE, cycle time) and publish dashboards
• Drive shift‑left testing, early defect detection, and testability improvements with engineering
• Contribute to test data management, environment readiness, and release sign‑off
• Mandatory for all to follow the norms defined in ISMS 27001

Functional

• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC, Agile ceremonies, and release processes
• Proficient in writing test cases, test charters, and acceptance criteria from user stories
• Expertise in defect lifecycle management, root cause analysis, and risk‑based testing
• Excellent requirements analysis, critical thinking, and attention to detail
• Clear, concise communication for bug reports, status updates, and stakeholder interactions
• Familiarity with traceability matrices, quality metrics, and test reporting

Technical

• Test Management: Jira/Xray, Zephyr, TestRail, Azure DevOps Test Plans
• Defect Tracking: Jira, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla
• Version Control \& CI/CD: Git, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field
• 4\+ years of QA experience,
• ISTQB Foundation / Advanced Level
• Certified Agile Tester (CAT) or Agile certifications (CSM, PSM, PMI‑ACP)

Location: Vadodara

Notice Period: Immediate Joiner / 30 days

Salary: As per market standard
