Job Description
Key Responsibilities
*Finance \& Accounting Operations
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, financial reporting, and compliance with local tax and accounting regulations.
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual budget plans, expense reports, and financial statements.
- Coordinate tax finalization (e.g., PIT, CIT, VAT) and liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and banking partners.
- Oversee cost-center tracking, invoice processing, and financial reconciliations.
- Other tasks as required by direct manager
- External Relations
- Build partnerships: Seek, connect, and maintain partnerships with strategic partners to develop the market. Build strong relationships with relevant government agencies, Banks or Financial Institutions.
- Compliance monitoring
- Monitor and ensure compliance with legal, environmental, and occupational safety regulations
- Administrative Management:
- Business support: Shall be responsible for overall back-office management tasks, including coordinating with Seoul and providing HR management and business support as per Managing Director’s order
*HQ Communication \& Liaison
- Serve as the primary contact person for financial and operational matters with headquarters in Seoul (especially in the absence of the line manager).
- Prepare, translate, and present regular financial and administrative reports to HQ and external audits.
Job Requirements
- Experience \& Professional knowledge:
- Minimum 5\+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or combined financial-administrative roles.
- Prior experience working in FDI business is highly preferred.
- Preference for candidates with experience working in environmental or energy, construction or EPC/contracting companies. Experience in the construction industry is a significant advantage.
- Candidates must have the ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with government agencies.
- Strategic vision for the energy and environmental market. Understanding of industry trends and government policies. Ability to develop and implement long-term investment strategies.
*Education \& Professional Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certifications (Mandatory): Must possess a valid Chief Accountant Certificate or CPA, ACCA, CMA or an equivalent professional certification.
- Strong knowledge of local statutory accounting principles, tax laws, and financial compliance.
- Excellent cross-cultural communication skills and professional business diplomacy.
- High level of integrity, detail orientation, and ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and standard ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is preferred.
- Skills:
