Accounting Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to support a growing e-commerce business. This role is responsible for owning core accounting functions, ensuring accurate and scalable financials, and supporting the business as it grows. You will manage the close process, maintain GAAP compliance, support audits and acquisitions, and partner closely with finance and operations to ensure accounting reflects real business activity.

This is a highly execution-oriented role suited for someone who enjoys diving into details, improving processes, and taking ownership across a broad range of accounting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes; ensure timely and accurate financial statements
• Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for leadership
• Maintain accurate balance sheet schedules and P\&L integrity
• Lead inventory accounting, including valuation, roll-forwards, landed costs, reserves, and write-offs
• Ensure accurate COGS and partner with finance and supply chain teams on inventory flows
• Oversee revenue recognition, accounts receivable, and collections
• Manage multi-entity accounting, consolidations, and intercompany activity
• Support accounting aspects of acquisitions, including opening balances and integrations
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors and manage audit readiness
• Maintain and improve internal controls, documentation, and accounting processes
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and close deliverables
• Manage and develop a lean accounting team
• Identify accounting risks proactively and drive process automation and efficiency improvements

Qualifications:

• CPA required; 6\+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting
• Strong inventory accounting experience (e-commerce, retail, or manufacturing)
• Proven ownership of month-end close and GAAP compliance
• Experience with ERP systems and multi-entity environments
• Strong US GAAP knowledge
