Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Create, update, and maintain client proposal and vendor contract templates across multiple business units
- Partner with legal counsel to understand the legal implications of standard contract language and proposed revisions
- Coordinate closely with leadership, procurement, vendor relations, outside counsel, and internal stakeholders to develop and improve contract-related processes
- Streamline contract administration, negotiation, and execution timelines while maintaining the controls needed to protect the organization
- Balance reasonable, business-friendly contract language with strong protection of organizational interests, particularly on sensitive clauses
- Incorporate automation and AI tools into the contract review process to improve efficiency
Required Qualifications:
- Familiarity with construction contract language and its legal implications in Virginia, DC, and Maryland
- 3\+ years of relevant experience managing the full lifecycle of construction contracts and procurement processes
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Strong administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word for negotiating and redlining contract language
