Expedition Expectations
As a key member of the Product Management team, the Senior Product Manager will be responsible for responsible for defining and executing the strategy for analytics, and reporting capabilities. This role will lead the development of scalable data products that transform complex information into actionable insights for clients and internal teams. The Senior Product Manager will collaborate closely with data engineering, analytics, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure data-driven decision-making is at the core of our travel management solutions. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with strong product management skills to drive innovation, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the traveler experience.
Passport to Success
Road Mapping \& Planning
- Define and prioritize reporting and analytics roadmap based on business impact, customer needs, and market trends. Balancing client facing reporting capabilities with internal analytics tooling needs.
- Develop and maintain a strategic product roadmap aligned with company objectives and stakeholder priorities.
- Lead agile product development practices using Jira, ensure efficient backlog management, planning, and execution. Working closely with other PMs to align roadmaps and dependencies.
Delivery \& Execution
- Own the end-to-end product development lifecycle for analytics, reporting, dashboards and self service data capabilities, from ideation to launch.
- Partner with data engineering, analytics, user experience teams and data platform product management to build scalable data products and self-service reporting tools.
- Define and track key product performance metrics, ensuring insights drive continuous improvement.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to make data-informed product decisions.
- Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of features, balancing speed, scalability, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, marketing, engineering, and user experience, to align on business goals and customer needs.
Stakeholder Engagement \& Communication
- Act as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating data capabilities into business value.
- Work closely with leadership to define and communicate the vision, roadmap, and impact of data products.
- Drive adoption of data products internally and externally by educating users on their value and functionality.
Going the Extra Mile
- Degree in Business, Computer Science or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years' experience in product management or a related role
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and product development processes
- Experience defining a roadmap for an area with input from multiple sources
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Outstanding communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization
- Deep understanding of current AI trends, tools, and technologies
- Ability to think strategically, and execute methodically
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is a must
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary; general manager / owner mentality
- A demonstrated record of partnering with teams across an organization to influence and achieve business results across multiple teams who may have different goals
- Proven creativity in the software and services that you've helped deliver
- Positive attitude and fit with the Direct Travel team culture
- Experience with travel industry systems and technologies is a plus
- Must be able to lawfully work within the US or CA and have unrestricted work authorization for US or CA
