Physical Demands \& Work Environment

- Remote
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
What Your Day Looks Like
Platform Strategy \& Roadmap
- Own the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for the Shopify ecommerce platform across all five brand sites, covering core areas including checkout, site search, navigation, personalization, user accounts, and platform performance.
- Co-prioritize the product roadmap with Site Owner directors — translating their commercial priorities, site experience needs, and customer insights into a shared, sequenced backlog that balances business value against engineering capacity.
- Maintain a clear point of view on platform investment tradeoffs, bringing data-backed recommendations to roadmap discussions and helping stakeholders understand the downstream impact of prioritization decisions.
- Stay current on Shopify platform capabilities, app ecosystem developments, and ecommerce technology trends — identifying opportunities to leverage new functionality ahead of the competition.
Engineering Partnership \& Delivery
- Own the day-to-day working relationship with the Director, Technology Digital Commerce, — serving as the primary product counterpart in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and delivery execution across all active development work.
- Author clear, thorough user stories, acceptance criteria, and product specifications that give engineering the context needed to build the right thing the first time.
- Operate as Product Owner in an Agile/Scrum environment — managing the backlog, participating in sprint ceremonies, and making real-time prioritization calls that keep delivery moving without compromising quality.
- Partner with the Director, Technology Digital Commerce to identify and sequence technical debt work alongside feature development, ensuring platform health and scalability are maintained as the product roadmap accelerates.
Experimentation \& Optimization
- Own the platform's A/B testing program — designing experiments, managing the testing calendar, and analyzing results to build a compounding body of platform knowledge that informs future roadmap decisions.
- Partner with Site Owners to set commercial priorities for what gets tested — they identify the highest-value hypotheses from a business performance standpoint, you design and execute the experiments that validate them.
- Develop a structured experimentation framework that governs test design, statistical rigor, and result interpretation, ensuring the organization builds reliable learnings rather than acting on noise.
- Champion a culture of data-driven decision making across the Digital Commerce organization, translating test results and platform analytics into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders at all levels.
Discovery \& Performance Analytics
- Conduct ongoing analysis of user behavior, funnel performance, and site experience quality across all five brand sites — using quantitative data (GA4, Shopify analytics, heatmaps) and qualitative signals (session recordings, customer feedback) to identify friction points and opportunity areas.
- Define and own the KPI framework for platform performance, tracking conversion rate (CVR), average order value (AOV), site speed, Core Web Vitals, checkout completion rate, and search engagement across the portfolio.
- Partner with the Analytics team to ensure measurement infrastructure is in place for all major features and experiments, and that data is reliable, consistent, and actionable across reporting surfaces.
- Translate performance data into prioritized recommendations that feed directly into roadmap planning cycles and executive reporting.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Serve as the platform product authority across the Digital Commerce organization — the person other functional leaders turn to when they need to understand what is possible on the platform, what is in progress, and what tradeoffs are involved in any given request.
- Partner with the Director, Content Optimization to ensure platform capabilities (PDP templates, structured data, content slots) support content strategy requirements across DTC and are built to evolving SEO and AEO standards.
- Collaborate with the VP, Traffic on platform features that directly support traffic channel performance — including landing page architecture, site speed optimizations, and personalization capabilities that improve paid and organic conversion.
- Coordinate with the Sr. Manager, Digital Marketing Operations on platform requests from channel teams, ensuring marketing tool integrations, tracking requirements, and campaign-specific site needs are scoped and delivered reliably.
What We’re Looking For
- 7\+ years of progressive product management experience, with a minimum of 3 years directly focused on ecommerce platforms in a DTC environment
- Hands-on Shopify experience required — deep familiarity with the platform's capabilities, limitations, app ecosystem, and best practices for multi-brand or multi-storefront environments (Shopify Plus preferred)
- Proven track record of owning and delivering a product roadmap that drove measurable improvements in ecommerce KPIs — conversion rate, AOV, site speed, or checkout completion
- Strong command of A/B testing methodology — able to design statistically sound experiments, interpret results correctly, and build an organization-wide testing practice from the ground up
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment as a Product Owner — comfortable writing user stories, managing a backlog, and making real-time prioritization decisions in partnership with engineering
- Deep proficiency with ecommerce analytics tools (GA4, Shopify Analytics) and behavioral analytics platforms (Hotjar, FullStory, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated ability to co-own a roadmap with multiple stakeholders with competing priorities — strong facilitation skills and the judgment to drive alignment without creating bottlenecks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting product strategy, roadmap tradeoffs, and performance results to senior leadership
- Familiarity with front-end web performance concepts (Core Web Vitals, page speed, caching) and an ability to engage credibly with engineering on technical tradeoffs
- Experience with personalization platforms, site search tools, or checkout optimization solutions is a strong plus
