ISB seeks a Full-Time Kindergarten and Grade 2 English Teacher for the 2026-2027 School Year
Candidates should be able to use their expertise in Preschool and Elementary Education to confidently lead preschool and lower school classrooms. Teachers at ISB are expected to work collaboratively in lesson planning to implement a strong and engaging PYP curriculum.
Qualification requirements:
Candidates should enjoy creating engaging learning experiences that nurture the development of the whole child within a collaborative and supportive school community. Ideal candidates will be flexible, creative educators who use a variety of instructional approaches and resources to meet the diverse needs of learners.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or a related field
- Minimum of two years of lead teaching experience in an elementary school setting
- Experience teaching Kindergarten and/or elementary-aged students
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate instructional practices
- Ability to design differentiated learning experiences that support a range of learners
- Effective classroom management skills and a commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom community
- Strong foundation in Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)
- Experience teaching foundational literacy skills in English
- Ability to teach and assess grade-level curriculum while supporting individual student growth
- Commitment to working collaboratively with learning support staff, specialists, and grade-level colleagues
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with students, families, and colleagues
- Familiarity with inquiry-based learning and the Primary Years Programme (PYP) is an asset
Teachers in this role will work closely with a collaborative support team to create engaging, student-centered learning experiences that promote academic, social, and emotional growth.
