Job Description

The Senior Systems / Reliability Engineer is responsible for managing the verification and traceability of product requirements and specifications for new hardware and software products. This role supports product validation planning and execution and leads the analysis, calculation, and reporting of reliability and durability verification activities.

As a senior member of the Systems Engineering team, this engineer partners closely with electrical, mechanical, and firmware engineers to achieve verification goals. The role serves as a technical leader, driving engineering excellence and continuous improvement across the Systems Engineering function. This position also helps identify required tasks and resources to ensure critical project milestones are met, systems are successfully integrated, and reliability testing and statistical analyses are completed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage verification and traceability of system and product requirements.
  • Support planning and execution of product validation and verification activities.
  • Lead reliability and durability testing, including data analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, mechanical, and firmware engineering teams.
  • Drive systems integration activities and ensure alignment with project milestones.
  • Serve as a technical leader and advocate for continuous improvement within Systems Engineering.
  • Apply statistical methods to evaluate reliability performance and test results.

Required Skills \& Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering (postgraduate degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in the medical device industry.
  • Strong background in Systems Engineering with a focus on mechanical or electrical or firmware verification \& validation (V\&V) testing.
  • Experience with requirements management, systems integration, and system-level testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams and work independently.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with LabVIEW and test automation.
  • Ability to use, view, and interpret CAD tools (e.g., OrCAD, SolidWorks, Cadence).
  • Postgraduate degree.
  • Working knowledge of industry standards such as IEC 60601, IEC 60601-1, or IEC 61010\.
  • Knowledge of DFSS, statistical test design, and Critical Parameter Management.
