Summary

The Benefits Analyst is responsible for the administration, optimization, and financial integrity of the company’s employee benefit programs. This role partners closely with vendors, Payroll, HRIS, Finance, and internal stakeholders to ensure plans are administered accurately, compliantly, and cost-effectively. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in benefits administration, Workday Benefits, self-billing, and financial reconciliation.

Responsibilities

  • Administer health and welfare, retirement, and ancillary benefit plans
  • Manage enrollments, eligibility, status changes, terminations, and employee support
  • Configure and maintain benefit plans within Workday Benefits
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex benefits issues and vendor concerns
  • Manage carrier, broker, and TPA relationships and resolve billing discrepancies
  • Own monthly self-billed and fully insured invoice reconciliation processes
  • Partner with Payroll and Finance on billing accuracy, GL analysis, and timely payments
  • Support audits, ACA reporting, COBRA, 401(k) audits, and compliance activities
  • Produce reporting and analysis using Workday and Excel to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities
  • Support open enrollment, process improvements, and benefits-related projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required
  • 5–8 years of benefits administration experience with ownership of complex processes
  • Strong experience managing vendors, self-billing, and invoice reconciliation
  • Advanced Workday Benefits experience including configuration, audits, and reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, and reconciliation analysis
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

  • Experience supporting large or multi-state employee populations
  • Experience with self-funded plans
  • Exposure to benefits renewals, implementations, or M\&A transitions
  • CBP, CEBS, or related certification preferred
