The Benefits Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support for the Total Rewards team, including, but not limited to, onboarding, benefits, compensation and overseeing the invoices, purchase orders (POs), security process and legal documents for vendors. The coordinator is first point of escalation, under the guidance of more senior team members. This role also interacts with People Operations and Payroll on issues pertaining to individual and group benefits, retirement/pension, health and welfare, disability, and time away programs, amongst others.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct new employee orientation and facilitate other onboarding activities.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employees by answering benefit questions or escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Assists in the administration of group benefit and wellness programs such as health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, retirement, COBRA, and other plans.
  • Assists N-ablites with employee-sponsored benefit enrollment, questions, and claims. Fields escalations to more senior analysts as required.
  • Monitors benefit management systems and HRIS, ensuring data accuracy across all systems and automated feeds.
  • Establishes and maintains purchase orders for benefit invoices and contracts.
  • Submits insurance invoices to AP for timely payment.
  • Provide administrative support for the performance and pay for performance compensation cycle.
  • Assist department in carrying out various compensation and benefit programs and procedures for all company employees.
  • Contribute to the support and improvement of HR systems.
  • Provide administrative support for People department projects and events as needed.
  • Responsible for the administration of regular audits and various regulatory compliance reporting.
  • S. ONLY – Under the guidance of more senior team members, supports the administration of all leaves of absence including FMLA, STD, LTD, ADA, parental leave, and military leave; works with employees, managers, leadership, and third-party administrators, as required.
  • Document processes and procedures within scope of responsibility.

What You'll Bring

  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
  • General understanding of Compensation and Benefits processes and compliance
  • Able to handle confidential data
  • Strong attention to detail with high level of accuracy
  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills including excellent written and verbal communication skills; good presentation skills
  • Analytical and listening skills required to understand, review, and perform analysis
  • Ability to multi-task and ensure adherence to company policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Ability to think creatively to resolve challenges
  • Ability to work independently
  • Some payroll experience a plus
  • Specialization/certification in HR a plus
  • 0 -3 years of experience in benefits or related People programs
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
