Job Description
We’re looking for a skilled
Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Engineer
to support the design and integration of hybrid energy solutions for industrial and grid applications.
What You’ll Do:
- Design BESS architecture (battery sizing, PCS, inverters, thermal systems)
- Integrate BESS with gas, solar, or grid-connected systems
- Perform electrical studies (load flow, short circuit, protection, harmonics)
- Develop one-line diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
- Support projects through design, commissioning, and optimization
- Troubleshoot battery, inverter, SCADA, and EMS systems
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (NEC, UL, NFPA, IEEE)
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Energy Engineering
- 4\+ years of BESS design/integration experience
- Strong knowledge of lithium-ion systems, power electronics, and EMS
- Experience with electrical studies and system integration
Nice to Have:
- Background in oil \& gas or mobile power
- Familiarity with BESS platforms and energy markets
- EIT or PE in progress
