Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Pallet Repair Technician and play a vital role in maintaining the efficiency and safety of our logistics operations! In this energetic and hands-on position, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and refurbishing pallets to ensure they meet quality standards. Your expertise will help reduce waste, improve safety, and support seamless material handling processes across our facility. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop technical skills while contributing to a sustainable supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of damaged or worn pallets using tools such as an ohmmeter to assess electrical continuity and structural integrity
  • Repair or replace broken or missing components, including boards, nails, and stringers, to restore pallets to optimal condition
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to perform repairs and refurbishments
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs performed, materials used, and inspection results for quality control purposes
  • Collaborate with team members to prioritize repair tasks and ensure timely completion of work orders
  • Follow safety protocols diligently during all repair activities to prevent accidents or injuries
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work area to promote a safe working environment

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in pallet repair, woodworking, or a related hands-on trade is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Ability to operate basic hand tools, power tools, and measurement devices such as an ohmmeter with precision and safety
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
  • Good physical stamina; able to lift heavy pallets and stand for extended periods
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Basic understanding of electrical testing using an ohmmeter is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed
