Role Overview
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our growing team in New York. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new brand partnerships, driving revenue growth, and expanding AFM Agency’s presence within the creator economy and social commerce ecosystem.
As a Deal Owner, you will manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting and pipeline development to closing deals and maintaining long-term client relationships. You will work closely with our strategy, creator, and operations teams to deliver high-impact marketing solutions for brand partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development
- Identify and develop new brand partnerships and commercial opportunities
- Pitch and sell AFM’s services such as TikTok full-service operation
- Expand AFM’s network across brands, agencies, and creator ecosystem partners
- Sales \& Pipeline Management
- Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure as Deal Owner
- Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline
- Prepare proposals, negotiate terms, and close deals
- Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with brand partners
- Identify opportunities for repeat business and account growth
- Team Collaboration
- Work with strategy, creator, and operations teams to ensure successful campaign execution
- Support and mentor junior team members
Qualifications
- 3\+ year of experience in business development, sales, partnerships, or marketing-related roles
- Strong interest in the creator economy, social commerce, and digital marketing
- Proven ability to build relationships and close deals
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and maintain an organized pipeline
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
- Leadership potential with the ability to support and guide junior team members
- Bilingual in English \& Chinese
Compensation
- On-Target Earnings (OTE): $85,000 – $115,000\+ based on performance
- Opportunity to build and lead the business development function as the company grows
