Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Biomedical Engineer to join our team on a full-time contract basis in Long Beach, CA. The ideal candidate will apply engineering principles and design concepts to develop, test, and improve medical devices and equipment that enhance patient care and healthcare outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test biomedical devices and systems in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R\&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance to ensure product functionality and safety.
  • Conduct research and analyze data to improve existing medical technologies and develop innovative solutions.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to biomedical equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, ISO standards, and other relevant guidelines.
  • Support clinical trials and product validation activities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in biomedical device design, development, or testing.
  • Strong knowledge of medical device regulations and standards (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485).
  • Proficiency with CAD software and engineering simulation tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must pass federal background check and drug screen.

Work Environment

This is a full-time contract position based in Long Beach, CA. The role may require occasional on-site presence and collaboration with various departments.
