Product Manager/ Product Owner (CPR) – Consulting Practice

Base Location:

Bangalore

(Should be willing to travel internationally or within India as per business requirements)

Role Overview:

Own product strategy and delivery across cross‑functional, global teams. Partner with Strategic Business Managers to translate business outcomes into product roadmaps, measurable value, and scaled execution. Contribute to business growth through deal shaping, high‑quality RFP leadership, and thought leadership, while building reusable IP and scalable capabilities for the consulting practice.

What You’ll Do:

Product \& Portfolio Leadership

  • Own the product vision and roadmap end-to-end.

Define strategic outcomes, prioritize the backlog, and set measurable OKRs/KPIs that guide delivery. Ensure every release drive clear customer and business impact. Continuously refine plans based on insights and performance.

  • Lead full‑cycle product delivery from discovery to launch.

Drive requirements gathering, create clear documentation, and oversee solution design with engineering and design teams. Define acceptance criteria, UAT strategy, and release readiness. Ensure smooth launch, change control, and adoption across markets.

  • Champion agile execution using Scrum or Kanban.

Lead ceremonies, manage sprint flow, and drive predictability and throughput. Identify risks, remove blockers, and coordinate across global, multi‑vendor teams. Continuously improve team delivery practices and velocity.

  • Be the voice of the customer in every decision.

Conduct discovery, analyse usage patterns, and translate insights into actionable requirements. Validate problems before solutions and advocate for customer-centric design. Ensure every feature solves a real user need.

  • Manage and influence senior stakeholders effectively.

Build trusted relationships across business, engineering, operations, and leadership teams. Align priorities, shape solutions, and drive consensus using data-backed reasoning. Communicate progress and trade-offs with clarity and confidence.

  • Drive data-led decision-making and continuous improvement.

Establish tracking, dashboards, and success metrics for all key initiatives. Use qualitative and quantitative insights to validate bets, assess impact, and inform future iterations. Ensure outcomes—not just outputs—are delivered.

Consulting \& Solutioning

  • Lead strategic solutioning and advisory engagements.

Understand client business priorities, industry dynamics, and enterprise “fields of play.” Translate insights into high‑impact strategies, operating models, and actionable blueprints. Present solutions with clarity, structure, and executive‑ready storytelling.

  • Drive creation of enterprise‑level process and operating model designs.

Apply frameworks such as APQC, SCOR, BPMN, and other best‑practice methodologies to build scalable, standardized processes. Identify optimization opportunities, design future‑state workflows, and align them to strategic business outcomes. Ensure solutions are pragmatic, adoptable, and backed by strong value cases.

  • Design digital solutions, automation opportunities, and transformation roadmaps.

Assess current systems and tools and identify areas where technology can unlock efficiency or new capabilities. Build business cases detailing ROI, cost-to-serve improvements, and customer impact. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align feasibility, sequencing, and adoption plans.

  • Lead proposals, RFP responses, solutioning and go‑to‑market initiatives.

Structure solution narratives, commercial models, and delivery approaches that differentiate the offering. Drive thought leadership in client conversations and steer deal strategy in partnership with sales leaders. Consistently contribute to revenue growth, pipeline shaping, and account expansion.

  • Shape thought leadership and practice capability.

Develop accelerators, frameworks, templates, and reusable assets that elevate consulting quality and speed-to-solution. Author POVs, whitepapers, and industry insights to establish practice credibility. Represent the practice in internal and external forums as a strategic thinker.

  • Mentor and lead consulting teams—coach consultants and managers in structured problem‑solving, client communication, and delivery excellence. Ensure high‑quality outputs and strong client experiences

Critical Success Factors:

  • Experience:

7–14 years across strategic consulting, product development/management, process/business consulting, digital transformation; strong PM/PO delivery credentials.

  • Education:

2-year full-time MBA from a reputed institute

  • Domain Exposure:

Multidomain exposure with strength in

CPRD

plus one or more: CRM, Automotive, Healthcare, Ecommerce, SCM/logistics

  • Proven experience in advisory roles and ability to steer programs/initiatives/projects with senior leadership.
  • Strong experience across SDLC and Agile program management with hands‑on process modeling, mapping, and standardization using industry frameworks.
  • At least two relevant certifications (SAFe POPM, CSPO, PSPO, CSM, CBAP, CCBA, ECBA).
  • Strong working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, ServiceNow, and MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with excellent critical thinking, decision‑making, analytical reasoning, and data interpretation capabilities.

Good to Have:

  • Additional certifications such as Six Sigma/Green Belt, PMP, PRINCE2, or other process improvement credentials.
  • Experience working on AI‑led engagements or digital intelligence projects.
