Role Description

We are looking for an Analyst who is genuinely excited about data and process — someone who has the rigour of a consultant, the hands-on instincts of an operator, and a deep curiosity about how carbon markets work. You will sit at the intersection of field data, carbon methodology, and operational reporting, working closely with our ops, science, and product teams.

This is a role with real ownership from Day 1\. You will not be building slide decks in a corner. You will be in the data, finding the signal, and making sure our carbon program holds up to the highest standards of scrutiny.

Key Responsibilities

1\. Data Analysis \& Quality Assurance

• Analyze field datasets — farmer survey records, soil sampling results, water management logs, satellite cross-validation outputs — to identify data gaps, anomalies, and deviations from protocol.

• Write and maintain SQL queries to extract, clean, and transform data from our dMRV platform for analysis and reporting.

• Build validation and QA/QC workflows in Excel and SQL to flag data quality issues early, before they reach verification.

• Work closely with the QA/QC and field operations teams to investigate flagged issues and implement corrective processes.

• Support the preparation of data packages for third-party carbon project verification and audits.

2\. Carbon Process Monitoring \& Reporting

• Build and iterate Excel and SQL-based dashboards that give the team a clear, real-time view of where the program stands against plan.

• Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports for internal leadership and external stakeholders (buyers, verifiers, implementation partners). 3\. Process Improvement \& Operational Synthesis

• Identify inefficiencies or data quality bottlenecks in the carbon process pipeline and propose structured, data-backed solutions.

• Synthesise field learnings and operational insights into shareable reports for partners, carbon buyers, and internal leadership.

• Collaborate with the product and engineering team to improve data capture workflows and the dMRV platform’s internal reporting tools.

3\. Process Improvement \& Operational Synthesis

Preferred Qualifications

• Analytical skills and business analysis. Preferably 2-3 years with a top-tier consulting/analytics firm

• Strong Excel proficiency: advanced formulas, pivot tables, structured MIS design, and dashboard building.

• Working SQL skills: you can write queries to extract, filter, join, and aggregate data from relational databases.
