Business Analyst

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, ensuring clarity and alignment with organizational goals.
• Develop comprehensive data models, dashboards, and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Looker to visualize key metrics and trends.
• Utilize Agile project management methodologies to support iterative development cycles, ensuring timely delivery of solutions that meet stakeholder needs.
• Design and optimize databases with expertise in database design principles, working with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and other relational database systems.
• Conduct data analysis using SQL, R, Python, and ETL tools like Talend and Bash scripting to extract insights from complex datasets.
• Support the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, testing, deployment, and post-implementation review.
• Facilitate communication between technical teams and business units through documentation in Visio and other collaboration tools.
• Implement looker data models and linked data strategies to enhance data connectivity across platforms.
• Assist in project management activities by tracking progress, managing timelines, and coordinating resources effectively.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role within a data-driven environment.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for querying databases; familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience supporting projects through all SDLC phases.
• Skilled in data analysis techniques using R, Python, VBA, or similar programming languages.
• Familiarity with ETL processes and tools like Talend or Bash scripting for data integration tasks.
• Understanding of database design principles and linked data concepts for effective data architecture.
• Experience working with project management frameworks to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Excellent analysis skills complemented by strong communication abilities to translate technical findings into clear business insights. Pay: $79,527\.74 - $105,775\.35 per year
