Job Description

Business Analyst (Entry-Level / Junior / Associate) – Role Description \& Qualifications

We are seeking a motivated and analytical Business Analyst at the entry to associate level to support business process analysis, requirements gathering, and data-driven decision-making. This role is ideal for individuals who are eager to understand how businesses operate, translate needs into clear requirements, and contribute to improving efficiency, performance, and user experience.

The Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business requirements for projects, systems, and process improvements. Responsibilities include analyzing business processes, identifying gaps and opportunities, supporting solution design, and ensuring that delivered outcomes align with business objectives and user needs.

Key responsibilities include preparing business requirement documents, process flow diagrams, and functional specifications. The role also involves assisting in testing activities such as user acceptance testing (UAT), validating solutions against requirements, and ensuring issues are properly documented and resolved.

The analyst will support data analysis and reporting tasks to help stakeholders understand trends, performance metrics, and operational insights. Additionally, the role includes participating in meetings with cross-functional teams, documenting decisions, tracking action items, and supporting project coordination activities.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail. A good understanding of business processes, systems thinking, and logical reasoning is essential. The ability to interpret data and translate it into clear business insights is highly valued.

Candidates should have familiarity with basic data tools such as Excel and an understanding of databases or SQL is a plus. Exposure to business intelligence tools, process modeling, or requirement management tools is considered an advantage but not required.

Strong communication skills are essential, including the ability to clearly document requirements and explain findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment is also important.

Preferred qualifications include a degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or a related field. Knowledge of business analysis methodologies, Agile practices, or software development lifecycle concepts is beneficial.

The successful candidate is curious, detail-focused, and eager to learn. A proactive mindset, adaptability, and a strong interest in business processes and technology-driven solutions are key qualities for success in this role.

  • This position offers an excellent opportunity to build foundational business analysis skills, gain exposure to cross-functional projects, and contribute to meaningful improvements in business performance and operational efficiency.
