Company Summary

This organization is a global Digital and Data Engineering company delivering end-to-end digital transformation solutions across Banking, Financial Services, Healthcare, Manufacturing, and Retail industries. With a growing portfolio of major enterprise clients and a delivery-focused culture, this organization offers professionals direct exposure to large-scale digital product environments across multiple industries.

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and execution-focused Business Analyst to join a high-impact Digital Product team supporting a major U.S. retail client. In this role, you will operate as an embedded BA within the client's digital product organization, partnering closely with Product Managers and cross-functional delivery teams to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements. This is a requirements execution and delivery support role — candidates who are looking to own product strategy or roadmap should not apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Digital Product Managers to gather, document, and refine business and functional requirements — including formal BRD and FRD documentation — for new features, platform enhancements, and capability launches
  • Write clear, detailed user stories with fully developed acceptance criteria that enable development teams to execute with precision and minimal ambiguity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UX designers, software engineers, QA analysts, and business stakeholders from marketing, customer service, and operations to maintain alignment on scope and intent throughout the delivery cycle
  • Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions, user interviews, and stakeholder workshops to surface business needs and user pain points
  • Actively support backlog grooming, sprint planning, and the refinement of epics and features within an Agile/Scrum delivery framework
  • Conduct and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by validating that implemented features meet documented requirements and facilitating sign-off with stakeholders
  • Create and maintain process flows, functional specifications, and supporting documentation throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Monitor and communicate project status, risks, and cross-functional dependencies to ensure transparency and proactive issue resolution
  • Contribute to data analysis, benchmarking, and competitive research efforts that inform product prioritization
  • Identify process inefficiencies and advocate for continuous improvement in documentation and delivery workflows

Required Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst; candidates with 7 or more years will not be considered for this engagement
  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria in an Agile delivery environment
  • Proven requirements gathering experience including the creation of Business Requirements Documents and Functional Requirements Documents
  • Direct experience supporting User Acceptance Testing from requirements validation through sign-off
  • Active Agile and Scrum experience with proficiency in Jira for backlog and project management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholder audiences
  • Experience facilitating workshops, stakeholder sessions, and cross-functional alignment meetings
  • Comfortable operating independently in a remote, client-facing consulting engagement with minimal day-to-day oversight
  • Must be based in the United States and available to work within Eastern or Central time zones

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a retail, eCommerce, or customer-facing digital product environment strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with digital product areas such as checkout, site search and browse, mobile application experiences, or post-purchase customer flows
  • Working knowledge of UX best practices and digital analytics concepts
  • Proficiency with tools including Confluence, Figma, and Google Analytics or comparable platforms
  • Experience supporting multi-brand digital platforms or large-scale eCommerce ecosystems

Important: Who Should Not Apply

This role is not a fit for candidates who function primarily as Product Managers, Product Owners, or data analysts. If your experience is centered on owning product roadmaps and strategy, working exclusively with SQL or dashboards, or supporting ERP and SAP systems only, this position will not be a match.
