We are looking for a Business Analyst – Vehicle Leasing / Lease Accounting to join our team!

About Us

SAP Solutions area is part of FCOS Madrid and an integral part of the central Finance \& Controlling (FC) organization of Mercedes-Benz Group.

Our team of \~67 professionals combine SAP consultancy excellence with product steering capabilities. We operate within the Dual Operating Model (Capabilities \& Products) and actively contribute to the Agile Release Trains (ARTs) under the SAFe framework across FA/SC and ITG.

Our focus lies on delivering and steering Finance Solutions based on SAP technologies, covering core end-to-end financial processes such as:

  • Record-to-Report (R2R)
  • Purchase-to-Pay (P2P)
  • Order-to-Cash (O2C)
  • Financial Services \& Mobility
  • Finance Business Intelligence (FI-BI)

We provide deep expertise in Mercedes-Benz Finance templates, SAP Finance architecture, data \& analytics solutions, and agile delivery models. Role Purpose

The Business Analyst – Vehicle Leasing / Lease Accounting is responsible for supporting and driving end-to-end leasing and lease accounting initiatives within the O2C ART, ensuring alignment between accounting requirements, business processes, and system landscapes across international sales and financial services entities.

This role contributes to the evolution of leasing capabilities by supporting remediation initiatives, enhancing reporting and accounting transparency, and enabling the implementation of the target Leasing E2E architecture linked to the OneERP rollout roadmap, and it is based on the current products: IBIS Basic (International sales markets), SAP SAI (Germany), Lease Accounting Engine.

The position ensures:

  • High-quality business analysis and requirement engineering for leasing and lease accounting processes
  • Alignment between accounting standards, operational processes, and IT implementation
  • Support for remediation and compliance initiatives linked to IFRS leasing requirements
  • Cross-functional collaboration between Finance, IT, Reporting, and business stakeholders
  • Successful contribution to global rollout and transformation initiatives within FC.OS

Key Responsibilities

1\. Business Analysis \& Process Design

  • Support the design and implementation of leasing and lease accounting processes across the E2E landscape.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications and implementable solutions.
  • Contribute to harmonized accounting, reporting, and operational processes for vehicle leasing business scenarios.
  • Support alignment between sales accounting, leasing operations, and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance, IT, and business departments to ensure integrated solution design.

2\. Lease Accounting \& Remediation Initiatives

  • Support

Lease Remediation 2025/26

program (driven by

PwC high-risk findings

) and support the development and implementation of the target system landscape for Leasing E2E (financial services \+ sales entities).

  • Translate audit and PwC findings into actionable business and system requirements.
  • Support the definition and implementation of accounting controls and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS leasing accounting requirements and internal governance standards.
  • Contribute to transparency and consistency in lease accounting and reporting processes.

3\. System Landscape \& Transformation Support

  • Contribute to the development of the target Leasing E2E system landscape for sales and financial services entities.
  • Support global rollout activities linked to the OneERP implementation roadmap.
  • Collaborate with agile teams within the O2C ART to ensure successful delivery and integration.
  • Support analysis, testing, reporting, and validation activities across multiple systems and interfaces.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to finance processes, reporting, and agile delivery models.

Qualifications

Education \& Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, Accounting, or related field.
  • 4\+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Financial Accounting, Controlling, or related Finance transformation roles.
  • Proven experience in vehicle leasing processes and lease accounting environments.
  • Experience working in international and cross-functional environments.
  • Experience within Mercedes-Benz Group Finance or Mobility organizations is considered a strong advantage.

Technical \& Professional Expertise

Leasing \& Accounting

  • Profound knowledge of vehicle leasing business processes and related accounting impacts under IFRS standards, especially IFRS 16 and ideally including IBIS Basic and related legacy systems.
  • Strong understanding of accounting processes, reporting requirements, and financial controls within leasing environments.
  • Knowledge of Mercedes-Benz leasing business processes and organizational structures is desirable.
  • Good understanding of Mercedes-Benz sales organization and financial services environments.

Systems \& Tools

  • Experience working with leasing-related systems such as IBIS Basic, SAP SAI, and Lease Accounting Engine.
  • Working knowledge of reporting and analytics environments such as SAP BW, MS Fabric, or comparable solutions.
  • Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with agile collaboration and delivery tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Xray, or similar platforms.

  • Experience supporting agile delivery models and cross-functional project environments.
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to connect business, accounting, reporting, and IT perspectives into integrated solutions.
