Job Title: Business Data Analyst (Analytics \& Reporting)

Location: Hybrid-Honolulu, HI (2 days onsite)

Duration: 12\+ Months Contract to Hire

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Data Analyst to support reporting, analytics, and business operations initiatives of our end client. This role combines data analysis, business analysis, and stakeholder collaboration to drive data-informed decision-making across the organization.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working with BI tools and SQL, has strong analytical and communication skills, and possesses familiarity with Python. This position is ideal for someone who can bridge technical insights with business needs in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and operational data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools
• Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting and data analysis
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions
• Interpret and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Support business process improvements through data-driven recommendations
• Assist with ad hoc reporting, analytics, and business support requests
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and operational goals

Required Qualifications

• Experience in both Data Analysis and Business Analysis functions
• Strong proficiency in SQL
• Experience with BI/reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Familiarity with Python (knowledge preferred; hands-on expertise not required)
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, insurance, or enterprise environments is a plus
• Exposure to data visualization and reporting best practices
• Experience supporting business operations through analytics and reporting
