Job Description
About BioBrain
BioBrain helps companies get credible, decision-ready research at the speed and economics businesses now demand.
Founded by the team that built Market Cube, BioBrain provides an integrated research execution model leveraging AI, automated best-practice workflows, and expert Market Researchers across quantitative, qualitative, and customer sentiment research. We work alongside the technologies, agencies, sample providers, and methodologies our clients already value—or as an end-to-end platform solution—giving insights teams and research organizations greater capacity without requiring them to rebuild their existing research ecosystem.
Our clients include leading enterprises, market research firms, consultancies, and agencies looking to execute trusted research faster, more efficiently, and at lower cost.
We are expanding rapidly in North America and are looking for a Business Development Representative to help build our next stage of growth.
The Role
Location:
Virtual. New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, or Phoenix areas preferred, but open to candidates in all locations.
Role:
Full-time
Reports to:
EVP Sales, North America
As a
Business Development Representative (BDR) — North America
, you will be responsible for creating new sales opportunities with senior decision-makers across the market research and insights ecosystem.
You will work closely with BioBrain’s North American sales leadership to identify high-potential accounts, engage the right decision-makers, and convert targeted outreach into qualified sales conversations.
Our primary audiences, usually at the
Director, Partner, VP, or C-level
, include:
- Corporate Consumer Insights, Market Research, Customer Insights, CX, and Marketing leaders
- Market research and insights firms
- Strategy and management consulting firms
- Advertising, branding, communications, and PR agencies
This is not a high-volume, script-and-dial role. We are looking for someone who can learn a prospect’s business, understand why BioBrain may be relevant, and communicate that value clearly and concisely.
What You’ll Do
- Build pipeline.
Identify, research, prioritize, and engage high-potential North American accounts and decision-makers.
- Create conversations.
Generate qualified meetings through a coordinated mix of email, LinkedIn, phone, referrals, events, and other outbound channels.
- Personalize outreach.
Develop relevant messaging based on each prospect’s organization, role, business priorities, and likely research challenges rather than relying exclusively on generic sequences.
- Understand the buyer.
Learn the priorities and challenges facing corporate insights teams, research agencies, consultancies, and other BioBrain target audiences.
- Communicate BioBrain’s value.
Articulate how BioBrain can help organizations increase research capacity, accelerate execution, reduce costs, and allow researchers to spend more time on analysis, storytelling, and strategic recommendations.
- Qualify opportunities.
Determine whether prospects have a meaningful business need and create effective handoffs to sales leadership.
- Build target-account intelligence.
Map accounts, identify relevant stakeholders, monitor organizational changes and buying signals, and help develop account-specific engagement strategies.
- Experiment and improve.
Test messaging, subject lines, personas, verticals, and outreach approaches and use results to continuously improve conversion.
- Maintain CRM discipline.
Keep prospect, activity, meeting, and opportunity information accurate and current.
How Success Will Be Measured
Your primary objective is
qualified pipeline creation—not activity for activity’s sake
.
Key measures will include:
- Qualified meetings generated
- Meeting-to-opportunity conversion
- Sales pipeline sourced
- Engagement within priority accounts
- New target accounts penetrated
- Quality and accuracy of prospect/account research
- Consistency of outbound execution
- Contribution to improving BioBrain’s North American go-to-market playbook
What We’re Looking For
Required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Intellectual curiosity and ability to quickly understand a prospect’s business
- Comfortable communicating with Director, VP, Partner, and C-level prospects
- Highly organized and able to manage a large number of accounts and contacts
- Persistent and resilient without relying on overly aggressive sales tactics
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment
- Strong research and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with sales leadership
- Strong attention to detail and CRM discipline
Preferred
- 1–3\+ years of BDR, SDR, business development, sales, recruiting, or other relevant client-facing experience
- Experience selling B2B services, SaaS, data, analytics, consulting, or research solutions
- Familiarity with market research, consumer insights, customer experience, marketing, or analytics
- Experience with tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM platforms (Zoho preferred), prospecting/data platforms, and AI-assisted research and outreach tools
- Experience prospecting into large enterprises and/or professional services firms
- Exceptional early-career candidates with strong communication skills, curiosity, competitiveness, and demonstrated initiative are also encouraged to apply.
Who Will Thrive at BioBrain
You’ll likely enjoy this role if you:
- Want to learn how enterprise sales works rather than simply execute a sequence
- Enjoy researching companies and figuring out who to contact and why
- Like testing different approaches and learning from the results
- Are comfortable being measured against outcomes
- Can balance persistence with professionalism
- Want direct exposure to senior sales leadership
- Are interested in market research, insights, technology, AI, and the changing way businesses make decisions
- Want an opportunity to grow as BioBrain’s North American business expands
Why BioBrain
The insights industry is changing quickly. Businesses have access to more data, technology, and inexpensive answers than ever before, while insights organizations are under pressure to answer more questions, move faster, control costs, and maintain confidence in research quality.
BioBrain is being built for that environment.
For the right BDR, this is an opportunity to join a growing company at an early stage of its North American expansion, work directly with experienced sales leadership, develop enterprise selling skills, and play a visible role in building the company’s growth engine.
