Job Summary
The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying business solutions using Microsoft Power BI. A key responsibility is to manage the Power BI service and admin functions. In addition, this role involves collaborating with business stakeholders to understand requirements, building efficient and scalable solutions, and providing ongoing maintenance and support.
Key Responsibilities

+ Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
+ Integration and Data Management:
- Integrate solutions with other Microsoft 365 services and external systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
- Ensure data security and compliance.
+ Testing and Deployment:
- Conduct thorough testing of Power BI solutions to ensure quality and functionality.
- Deploy solutions to production environments and provide post-deployment support.
+ Maintenance and Support:
- Provide ongoing maintenance and support for Power BI solutions.
- Solution Design and Development:
+ Manage Power BI Administration tasks such as Gateways, connections, workspaces, publishing Apps, granting, and controlling user access, creating roles and row level security etc.
+ Design and develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models to support business decision-making.
+ Develop and publish Paginated Reports using Power BI Report Builder and integrate them into Power BI Service.
+ Optimize data models for performance and usability in Power BI.
+ Monitor and troubleshoot data refreshes, report performance, and data quality issues.
+ Stay current with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric updates and best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI applications and workflows.
+ Qualifications:
- 5\+ years of hands-on Power BI development and Power BI Service Admin experience.
- 5\+ years developing and optimizing DAX calculations—including KPI measures, time‑intelligence logic, and calculated tables—to consistently apply business rules and deliver high‑performance, scalable Power BI reporting.
- Understanding of Microsoft 365 services and Azure.
- Understanding of Dataverse.
- Experience with data modeling and database concepts.
- Experience with programming languages such as T-SQL, Python or R.
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts.
- Understanding of Application Lifecycle Management principles.
- Experience designing and developing data warehouse solutions.
