Overview

We are seeking a Business Process Analyst to support a leading energy and utility organization by bringing structure, organization, and clarity to day-to-day operations. This role will focus heavily on documentation, process mapping, and presentation development, with the opportunity to support Power BI dashboard creation as reporting needs evolve.

This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, technically savvy, and comfortable taking ownership of tasks with minimal direction. The right candidate will be able to gather information from stakeholders, translate it into clear and standardized formats, and support both operational and reporting needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain process documentation, workflows, and diagrams using Visio
  • Build clear, polished presentations in PowerPoint to support communication and alignment
  • Meet with stakeholders to gather information and translate it into structured, technical documentation
  • Organize and standardize documentation including processes, workflows, and technical information
  • Take unstructured or incomplete information and turn it into clear, usable deliverables
  • Support general business operations through coordination, documentation, and follow-through on assigned tasks
  • Work independently with limited direction and take initiative to complete tasks end-to-end
  • Utilize Excel and other Microsoft tools to organize and analyze information
  • Support Power BI dashboard creation and reporting efforts as needed, including consolidating data from multiple sources into a single view
  • Assist with technical writing, ensuring documentation is consistent, accurate, and easy to understand

Required Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in a Business Analyst, Process Analyst, Project Analyst, or similar role
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word)
  • Experience creating process flows, documentation, and presentations
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills
  • Ability to gather information from stakeholders and translate it into structured outputs
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with minimal direction and taking ownership of tasks
  • Strong general technical/computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building Power BI dashboards (from scratch or modifying existing dashboards)
  • Data-savvy with the ability to work with multiple data sources
  • Experience consolidating information into dashboards or reporting tools
  • Background working in technical, engineering, operations, or data-driven environments
  • Experience supporting project coordination or process improvement efforts

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • A few years of experience (not entry-level, not overly senior)
  • Strong executor who can be given tasks and run with them independently
  • Comfortable in a role that blends documentation, coordination, and light analytics
  • Not a pure administrative profile, but someone who can operate at a higher level within similar responsibilities
  • Data-aware and capable of stepping into Power BI/dashboarding when needed
  • Strong communicator who can work with technical stakeholders and present information clearly

Work Arrangement

  • Hybrid schedule: Remote: Monday \& Friday, Onsite: Tuesday–Thursday, Flex 9 schedule
