DIRECTOR OF SALES

Position Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and driven Director of Sales to lead our sales team. The ideal candidate will embody our core values of servant leadership and a customer-focused approach. This role requires a hands-on training methodology, a strong background in family businesses, and the ability to think forward to drive our sales strategies in an ever-evolving retail landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the sales team through servant leadership principles, fostering a culture of collaboration and mutual respect.
- Prioritize product knowledge and training over traditional KPI metrics, ensuring team members understand the quality and benefits of our offerings.
- Implement hands-on training programs to enhance team effectiveness and empower employees to achieve personal and professional growth.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the family business dynamic to promote cohesive and supportive relationships across departments.
- Drive innovative sales strategies that enhance customer experience and adapt to changing market trends.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaigns that resonate with our target audience and highlight product offerings.
- Analyze customer feedback and sales data to continually refine the customer experience and product focus.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs and expectations are met or exceeded.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the sales department, encouraging innovative thinking and creative problem-solving.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven experience in a sales leadership role, preferably within the retail furniture industry or a family-owned business.
- Strong understanding of servant leadership principles and hands-on training methodologies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer experience.
- Ability to think innovatively and strategically to drive sales and improve customer satisfaction.
- Passion for the retail furniture industry and commitment to quality and excellence.
- Servant Style Leadership, Hands on Training, Product focus/over KPI focus.
- Prior Experience using STORIS/Sales Force considered a plus!
