Job Description

Company Description

The Communications Group (ComGroup) is a Little Rock-based, full-service marketing and communications agency that turns complex challenges into compelling stories. From B2B and agriculture to government and beyond, we build integrated strategies that don’t just look good — they move the needle. Our team is sharp, collaborative, and always hungry to learn what’s next.

Role Overview

The Digital \& Social Marketing Specialist is a core member of The Communications Group’s Digital team, responsible for the day-to-day execution of social media and digital marketing programs across agency and client accounts. This role is designed for someone who brings both creative instincts and analytical thinking, someone who can write a caption, read a performance dashboard, and flag what’s working and what isn’t, all before lunch.

Working primarily with B2B, agricultural, and government clients, the Specialist collaborates closely with the Digital \& Social Marketing Manager and internal account, traffic, and creative teams to ensure campaigns are executed precisely, on schedule, and on-brand. This is a highly organized, self-driven role in which attention to detail and proactive communication are non-negotiable.

Core Responsibilities

Strategy \& Performance

  • Contribute to the development of digital and social media strategy alongside the Digital Director and account teams
  • Identify trends in performance data and proactively recommend optimizations to enhance engagement, reach, and results
  • Pull and maintain performance reports across social and digital channels, translating metrics into clear insights

Content Creation \& Social Media Execution

  • Generate social media ideas and create content, including copy and graphics, that align with campaign goals and brand voice
  • Execute and schedule social media posts on Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), and LinkedIn
  • Monitor social inboxes and activity, responding to comments and messages promptly and in an on-brand manner
  • Produce e-newsletters and manage distribution via Constant Contact

Project \& Account Management

  • Manage project flow with internal teams, including traffic coordination, timeline tracking, and management of deliverables
  • Manage day-to-day account communication and administrative tasks to keep projects moving efficiently
  • Collaborate with the account and creative teams to ensure content is consistent and aligns with overall marketing objectives

Requirements

Candidates must meet the following baseline qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in social media, marketing, or an agency setting
  • Demonstrated ability to manage execution and apply performance insights to improve results, rather than just reporting the numbers
  • Hands-on experience with major social platforms and with scheduling and reporting tools
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously without dropping the ball
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to adapt tone and voice across brand identities
  • A self-starter mindset, comfortable working independently and proactively figuring things out

Nice to Haves

The following skills aren’t required on day one, but they’ll help you hit the ground running and advance quickly in this role:

  • Experience updating website content (blogs, news, press releases) using HubSpot and/or WordPress
  • Basic analytics familiarity with GA4 and Google Tag Manager (GTM)
  • Paid social advertising experience with Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and LinkedIn Ads

  • Agorapulse, Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social
  • Constant Contact
  • Adobe Creative Suite/Canva
  • WordPress/HubSpot
  • Meta Ads Manager
  • Google Ads
  • LinkedIn Ads
  • GA4/GTM
  • Microsoft Office Suite

Benefits

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance options
  • Company-provided life insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Quarterly Free Fridays and Birthday holiday
  • Hybrid work schedule (Tue–Thu in-office; Mon \& Fri remote)
  • Professional development opportunities and ongoing training
