Job Summary

We are looking for skilled

Chassis Designers

with strong knowledge of

Suspension and Steering Systems

. The ideal candidates should have hands-on experience in automotive product design, 3D modeling, drawing creation, and design release activities using

CATIA V5 / CATIA V6

and

Teamcenter

.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop chassis components and assemblies related to frames, braking, suspension, and steering systems.
  • Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings using

CATIA V5 or V6

.

  • Work on design concepts, packaging studies, tolerance stack-ups, and design feasibility checks.
  • Support engineering change management and product lifecycle activities using

Teamcenter

.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, CAE, testing, and suppliers.
  • Ensure designs meet customer requirements, industry standards, manufacturability, and serviceability guidelines.
  • Prepare and release engineering drawings, BOMs, and related technical documentation.
  • Support design reviews, issue resolution, and continuous improvement activities.

Required Skills

  • Kinematics \& Dynamics:

Mastery of vehicle dynamics, suspension kinematics (K\&C), steering geometry (Ackermann, bump steer), and load paths.

  • CAD \& PLM

: Expert proficiency in

CATIA V5/V6

, alongside data management tools like Teamcenter.

  • Materials \& Processes:

Strong knowledge of forged aluminium, high-strength steel stampings, sheet metal fabrication, castings, and elastomeric bush designs.

  • Design Engineering:

Complete proficiency in GD\&T, DFMEA, stack-up analysis, DFM/DFA, and DVP\&R creation, engineering drawings, tolerance analysis, and design standards.

  • Experience in automotive component design, packaging, and product development lifecycle.
  • Ability to work independently and with cross-functional engineering teams.
