Role Overview

We are seeking certified Medical Assistants to provide comprehensive patient support across clinical and administrative functions. This remote role is perfect for healthcare professionals who excel at patient care coordination, medical documentation, and supporting physicians in fast-paced healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Patient Support

• Record patient medical histories and vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature)
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during procedures
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and basic laboratory specimen collection
• Administer medications, injections, and vaccinations per physician orders

Administrative Operations

• Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and handle phone inquiries
• Process insurance claims, verify coverage, and manage billing procedures
• Maintain medical supplies inventory and ensure exam room readiness
• Update electronic health records with accurate patient information

Patient Care Coordination

• Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and follow-up care
• Arrange specialist referrals, hospital admissions, and diagnostic testing
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality

Required Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Medical Assistant program
• Current CMA (AAMA) or RMA certification
• 1\+ years of clinical experience in medical office setting
• Proficiency with EHR systems and medical office software
• Strong clinical skills including phlebotomy and vital signs
• Excellent patient communication and organizational abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• BLS/CPR certification
• Experience with specialty practices (cardiology, pediatrics, etc.)
• Knowledge of medical billing/coding (ICD-10, CPT)
• Previous remote healthcare support experience
• Bilingual language skills
