Job Title: Mechanical Site Inspector ( Post Contract Supervision )

Job Responsibilities:

• Only candidates currently based in the UAE with UAE experience are eligible to apply.
• Preference will be given to candidates with Engineering Consultancy experience and post-contract supervision exposure.
• Conduct site inspections of mechanical installations to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, local authority regulations, and applicable codes.
• Monitor mechanical works progress and report deviations, non-conformities, or substandard workmanship.
• Verify and document the installation of HVAC systems, chilled water systems, plumbing and drainage, firefighting systems, LPG systems, ventilation, and other mechanical services.
• Participate in inspections of material deliveries to ensure conformity with approved material submittals and project specifications.
• Review and provide feedback on shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and Inspection \& Test Plans (ITPs).
• Coordinate with the main contractor, subcontractors, and other disciplines to ensure proper execution of mechanical works.
• Maintain detailed daily site reports, including observations, progress updates, and deficiencies.
• Attend and document inspections, testing, balancing, flushing, pressure testing, and commissioning activities for mechanical systems.
• Assist in ensuring corrective actions are implemented for inspection comments and rejected works.
• Support the Mechanical Engineer in resolving technical and site-related issues.
• Ensure all mechanical works are executed in compliance with project quality standards, safety procedures, and local authority requirements.
• Verify as-built drawings for mechanical systems submitted by contractors.
• Liaise with local authority inspectors during inspections and support contractor compliance efforts.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical site supervision/inspection within building construction projects.
• Experience working with Engineering Consultancy firms in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, ventilation, and other building mechanical systems.
• Good understanding of UAE local authority regulations and applicable mechanical codes and standards.
• Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, BOQs, and material data sheets.
• Familiar with safety regulations, quality control procedures, and inspection protocols.

Working Conditions:

• The position requires regular on-site inspections, which may involve exposure to construction environments.
